Christmas Eve & Christmas Day Services

Join us as we gather across St John’s Wonersh and St Martin’s Blackheath to celebrate the heart of Christmas — the coming of Christ, the light of the world. Whether you prefer the stillness of midnight or the joy of a family celebration, there’s a place for you here.

Christmas Eve

Nativity Service – St John’s Wonersh, 4pm
Begin Christmas with our joyful family Nativity Service at St John’s. Children are invited to take part in the story — come dressed as shepherds, angels, or kings, or borrow a costume on the day! Through carols, storytelling, and laughter, we’ll celebrate the wonder of God’s love come near.

Christmas Communion – St Martin’s Blackheath, 11pm
As Christmas Eve draws to a close, join us at St Martin’s for a peaceful and reflective Communion service by candlelight. This beautiful late-night service welcomes in Christmas Day with quiet joy and reverence, as we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ at the very first moment of Christmas.

Christmas Day

All-Age Christmas Celebration – St John’s Wonersh, 10:30am
Rejoice with us on Christmas morning at St John’s! Our all-age service is full of joy, carols, and celebration as we give thanks for the gift of Christ. Everyone is welcome — young and old, visitors and locals alike — as we share in the joy of Christmas together.

All-Age Communion – St Martin’s Blackheath, Christmas Morning
Come and celebrate the good news of Christmas with our warm and welcoming Communion service at St Martin’s. This all-age gathering is a joyful way to start Christmas Day — with music, prayer, and thanksgiving for the light and peace that Christ brings into the world.

Come and celebrate with us this Christmas — a time for community, wonder, and joy. Everyone is warmly welcome at both churches.
